- HRH The Duke of York, Prince George, opened Parliament House on 9 May 1927 with a golden key. According to a Parliament House historian (5 Apr 2022) the door was made of jarrah, was thicker and was not varnished like this piece. It may have come from another door but even they are thicker then this piece.
