Everard Crace was the son of Edward Crace who became one of the largest landholders in the district when he purchased the Gungahlin and Ginninderra properties from William Davis in 1877. After his father died in September 1892, Everard took over the property. He joined the AIF in April 1917 and served in the 40th Battalion as a cook. He died in 1928.
