Messing about in archives - apologies to Ratty
8 July 2025
Dr Richard Reid, CDHS president and widely recognised Irish historian and writer about WW2 experiences, will be delving into the fascinating collection held by the Yass & District Historical Society by asking questions like:
'What is the connection between the little village of Bowning and Charles 1, that luckless British monarch. The King's Head' pub perhaps in Bowning (fake news?)'
'What famous (infamous) NSW politician seems to have had his photo featured in the Coolalie Public School in the 1920s surrounded by flowers?'
Come along to the Wesley Centre, Forrest at 5pm for 5.30pm start.
Free Parking after 5pm.
ALL WELCOME.
DONATIONS TO COVER VENUE COSTS APPRECIATED.
